Blending elegance with mystique, ÆTHER explores and expands on the deep connections we share with the world around us—and beyond—crafting fragrances which intertwine stories and symbolism with sensory experience.
Early in my packaging ideation process, I developed the idea of The Totem Collection – a line of fragrances that depict and delve into the stories of totem creatures, such as the Pegasus. This concept allowed me to further explore the brand's visual identity and distinctiveness. During the process, I was also inspired by Richard Meyer's musical composition, The Idylls of Pegasus, which helped drive my decision-making in building a fragrance that reflects the ethereal and imaginative qualities of the winged-horse.
Designed as a luxurious and online-exclusive gift, the package offers a storybook-like experience, immersing the viewer in the narrative that inspired the fragrance.
The decorative elements are supported by the elegance of Stilson Display type, while Frutiger, designed for high legibility, reflects a modern approach of the brand and complements the traditional serifs of Stilson.
Taking inspiration from the Art Deco and Cubism movements, the brand adopts a visual language of dynamic geometric shapes and intricate line work.
Implementing key elements of the brand, I designed the landing page. Each section of the page is strategically ordered, focusing on the holistic and people-first approach of the brand. Additionally, I designed branded icons, and rendered the packaging design in 3D for staging.
